At Deeper Roots, we serve adults only! In fact, we are the only speech therapy private practice in the Northeast Atlanta, GA area that caters specifically to adults with neurological diagnoses.
We provide telehealth services to all of Georgia and Tennessee and in-home services to clients residing within 15 miles of Duluth, GA.

After a stroke left my husband with aphasia and apraxia, I began to search for an agency that would provide the speech therapy needed for his condition. Thankfully, my search led me to DRST (Deeper Roots Speech Therapy), where we met a very caring and supportive therapist, Megan, who carefully created goals and planned effective activities designed to move him along a continuum of progress, help him develop confidence in being around others, and connect his thoughts with the appropriate words. Megan monitors his progress and patiently helps him press through new challenges when goals are met. She even connects his motor skills in the therapy sessions by using sign language as an optional tool of communication when the words are held captive. With DRST, we didn't have to worry about commuting a long distance because they offer virtual sessions that are flexible to suit our needs. We are so glad to have DRST as part of our recovery team, and we love the progress being made.

I would highly recommend this speech service to anyone who has a young adult that needs help with speech. I actually found this service through another speech office for kids. Megan has been wonderful with working with my son CS who is 24 years old and it was hard trying to find a therapist for kids over 18 years and older. Once I found someone that would work with my son, we were so thrilled. Had some hiccups with the insurance, but we were patient and now , CS is getting the help and we can see the difference it is making. Thank you Megan for all your efforts and time!
